Nothing to nothing against the Buccaneers, six 32 left in the first quarter, second and six at the Green Bay 36. Two snaps after Williams intercepted Jalon Daniels, Chris Brooks went off left tackle for 27 yards to the Tampa Bay 37. +2.2 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and eight and a half points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it, the biggest gain on any Green Bay run all day by that second measure. It was his first run of 20 yards or more this season, on the 16-play touchdown drive.
The line: four carries, 30 yards, one first down, two of the four successful, +0.9 expected points on the carries; one target, one catch, five yards. The catch was third and six at the Tampa Bay 33 later on that drive, a yard short, and Tucker Kraft converted the fourth down. Near the goal line Brooks ran three yards to the three, and after a pass interference flag gave Green Bay first and one at the one, he was stopped for a two-yard loss.
The split: Kaleb Johnson eight carries, MarShawn Lloyd seven, Brooks four, and all four of his came in the first quarter or the first minute of the second.
Back in June the preview made no call on Brooks: a back without a standalone role, his ceiling set by the men around him. His carries went seven, four, none and four. Four games: 15 carries, 70 yards, three catches for 24. Sunday's 30 yards were his most this season, on the fewest carries of the three backs.
