30 to 27, Texans, a minute 34 left, fourth and four at the Dallas 32. Out of the no-huddle, Dak Prescott threw short over the middle to Jake Ferguson for seven yards and the first down. +1.9 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 10 and a half points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. From there: an incompletion, 15 yards to CeeDee Lamb, four to Javonte Williams, eight to Lamb, 22 deep left to George Pickens to the Houston 12, an incompletion, and then short over the middle to Lamb for 12 yards and the touchdown with 43 seconds left, worth 29 points of win probability.

The line: 32 of 45 for 335 yards, one touchdown, no interceptions, three sacks, and +9.8 expected points on 48 pass plays. Two scrambles for seven yards. 12 of 20 for 87 yards before halftime, 20 of 25 for 248 after. On third down, 12 pass plays and five conversions. All three sacks came in the first half, and an intentional grounding call cost 14 yards in the second quarter. Only one throw traveled 20 or more yards in the air: 53 yards to Pickens to the Houston 11 in the third quarter, down 23 to 13, the most valuable Dallas play of the day at +3.5. That drive ended in a Williams touchdown.

21 throws went to Lamb, then five each to Ryan Flournoy and Williams, four to Ferguson and three to Pickens.

Back in June the preview called Prescott an accurate pocket passer with little rushing to fall back on. Week 1 was a hundred 75 yards and an interception, Week 2 four touchdowns, Week 3 276 yards on 40 throws. Sunday brought the most throws and yards of his four games. Four games: a hundred five of a hundred 50, 70 percent, 1065 yards, eight touchdowns, one interception. The accuracy June described is still showing.
