The full read
DK Metcalf had one catch that swung the game against the Saints and little else: 6 targets, 2 catches, 56 yards and +1.9 expected points added (EPA). EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.
The catch came tied 3-3 with 8:34 left in the second quarter. Earlier on the drive his offensive pass interference had wiped out a play and cost 10 yards, and Aaron Rodgers had just missed him deep on second down. Third and 14 at the Pittsburgh 45: Rodgers threw deep left and Metcalf caught it for 51 yards to the New Orleans 4, +5.1 EPA and 20.9 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win, the largest swing of the game. Darnell Washington caught the touchdown two plays later. His other catch went for 5. Four targets fell incomplete, including third and 5 at the New Orleans 10 on the opening drive, -1.4 EPA, which left a 28-yard field goal.
Through Week 6 he had 52 targets, 30 catches, 318 yards, a touchdown and +1.6 EPA, so the one 51-yard catch was worth more than his first six games combined.
