13 to 10, Eagles, over the Rams, 14 seconds left in the second quarter, second and 10 at the Los Angeles 35, two snaps after DeJean's interception. Jalen Hurts threw deep left for Dontayvion Wicks, incomplete, and the flag was on McDuffie: defensive pass interference, 25 yards, first and 10 at the 10. +1.4 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 5.7 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. On the next snap Hurts found Darius Cooper for the touchdown, 20 to 10 at the half.

The line: five targets, three catches, 18 yards, one first down, +0.1 expected points on the targets. The catches went six on second and six at the Los Angeles 30, a first down; seven over the middle at his own 29 in the second quarter; and five on second and nine at his own 41 with three 18 left in the game, up three, on the three-and-out that handed the Rams the ball for their winning drive. The first of his two incompletions, third and two at the Philadelphia 47 on the first snap of the second quarter, cost five and a half points of win probability before Makai Lemon converted the fourth down.

Five targets were third on the team, behind Cooper's seven and Lemon's six.

Back in June the preview made no call on Wicks, with the question of where he would sit against Lemon. For three weeks he had at least as many targets as Lemon; this was the first week with fewer. Four games: 20 targets, 12 catches, a hundred 97 yards, one touchdown.
