Jadarian Price took full-speed team reps in Friday's joint practice with the Titans in Nashville — a run he bounced outside to the sideline in 11-on-11 work, an over-the-shoulder catch in seven-on-sevens — and drew the week's plainest endorsement from his quarterback. "He's a really special player," Sam Darnold said, crediting the rookie's hands and his ability to run inside and out, per Ari Horton and John Boyle at the team's website.

The week built to that in order. Monday brought his first full-speed practice in 11 days — the earlier return we logged had been a walkthrough — lining up regularly with the first-team offense in helmets and shoulder pads, no contact drills, per Bob Condotta at The Seattle Times. Mike Macdonald kept his framing procedural, per Cameron Van Til at Seattle Sports: "He's just like any other return to play guy. He's on his return plan. It's good to see him out there." Friday was the next step on that plan, and it looked like the version of Price the staff drafted. The room behind him stayed thin — Emanuel Wilson still out, Zach Charbonnet still on the physically-unable-to-perform list, Jacardia Wright just back — which keeps the runway clear.

Back in June the preview abstained on purpose — nobody can tell you what a rookie produces before he plays — and live carries remain the one empty column. Seattle plays the Titans today in Nashville, after this episode is filed, and that game or the finale should finally produce the first professional touches to grade. What to watch: those first carries and who he takes the field with, then the shape of the backfield after Sunday's cutdown. We'll check after cut day.
