27 to 23, Cowboys, 11 10 left, first and 10 at the Houston 14. C.J. Stroud threw deep right to Kayshon Boutte, who went out of bounds at the 35 after 21 yards. Dallas challenged the catch, and the ruling stood. +1.2 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.

The line: four targets, three catches, 36 yards, one first down, +1.8 expected points on his targets. The other catches were six yards with 26 seconds left in the half, on the drive that ended in a 54-yard field goal, and nine on first and 10 from the Houston 34 on the drive that put Houston ahead. The incompletion was second and 19 at the Dallas 32 later on that drive.

Four targets were third on the team behind Nico Collins's eight and Xavier Hutchinson's five. Back in June the preview read Boutte as an efficiency receiver on a small target count. Four games: 13 targets, nine catches, a hundred 15 yards, and Sunday's 36 were his second-most yards of the season.
