14 to seven, Browns, against the Steelers, three 13 left in the second quarter, second and 10 at the Pittsburgh 49. Deshaun Watson threw short left to KC Concepcion behind the line of scrimmage, and Concepcion turned it into 25 yards to the Pittsburgh 24. +2.1 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 5.5 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. The drive ended in Harold Fannin's touchdown for a 21 to seven lead.
The line: eight targets, five catches, 64 yards, two first downs. On the last drive, at 24 all, he caught six yards to the Pittsburgh 34 with 49 seconds left; the third-down throw his way with 19 seconds left fell incomplete, and Andre Szmyt kicked the 56-yard field goal on the next snap. He returned two punts, 14 yards with a holding flag on the play and 10, and drew a false start in the third quarter.
Eight targets led the Browns, one ahead of Denzel Boston and Quinshon Judkins.
Back in June the preview's frame for Concepcion was a return job as real weekly usage and a target share as the hope. Through three weeks the share showed up and turned into about four yards a target. Thursday was 64 yards on eight, the most yards of his four games. Four games: 28 targets, the most on the Browns, 17 catches and a hundred 44 yards, about five a target.
