KC Concepcion Smashed against the Titans: 10 targets, 8 catches, 129 yards and +7.8 expected points added (EPA), with season highs in catches and yards, plus 3 carries for 23 yards. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. Five of the 8 catches went for 15 yards or more.
His best stretch came right after Denzel Ward's interception, down 14-7 in the second quarter. Second and 8 at the Cleveland 24, he caught a short pass over the middle for 21. Two snaps later, second and 7 at the Cleveland 48, Deshaun Watson threw short right and Concepcion carried it 32 yards to the Tennessee 20, +2.5 EPA, and Quinshon Judkins finished the drive with the tying touchdown. On the first touchdown drive his 23-yarder on third and 7 at his own 30 was worth +2.8 EPA. Tied 17-17 in the fourth, first and 10 at the Tennessee 27, he ran around right end for 18 yards to the 9, +7.7 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win, and Watson scored on the next snap.
It was more than two-thirds of his season's yardage in one game. Through Week 6 he had 35 targets, 22 catches, 186 yards and +1.4 EPA.
