Nothing to nothing against the Jets, six 18 left in the first quarter, second and eight at the Chicago 45, one snap after a false start. Tyson Bagent threw deep right to Luther Burden, and Burden was pushed out at the New York 33, 22 yards. +1.7 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and seven points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. That drive ended with Kyle Monangai's fourth-down touchdown.

The line: six targets, four catches, 63 yards, three first downs, +3.3 expected points on the targets; one carry for 11 and a first down. The catches went seven, 20, 22 14, the first three in the first quarter. The 14 came late in the third, up 20 to six, and he ran around left end for the 11 on the next snap. Six targets were third on the Bears, behind Colston Loveland's nine and Rome Odunze's seven.

Back in June the preview's read on Burden was four targets a game as a rookie and a second-year role that would need to nearly double that. Weeks 1 to 3 were five, seven and 11 targets; this week six. Four games: 29 targets, 19 catches, 219 yards, one touchdown, seven and a quarter targets a game. Last week's caution was the efficiency: his targets were worth −3.1 across the first three weeks, and +3.3 on Sunday.
