Makai Lemon had his best game of the season against the Cowboys: 8 targets, 7 catches, 67 yards, a touchdown and +6.6 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. The catches, the yards and the EPA were all his highs this season, and the touchdown was his first.
The third-quarter drive was his. Down 20-14, third and 10 at the Dallas 48, he caught a 9-yarder to set up fourth and 1. On fourth and 1 at the 39, Tanner McKee threw short left and Lemon took it 15 yards before he was pushed out at the 24, +3.1 EPA and 13.3 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win, the largest swing of the game. Nine plays later, third and 4 at the Dallas 4, he caught the touchdown short right for a 21-20 lead, +2.3 EPA. Dallas scored the last 18 points.
He opened the scoring drive in the first quarter, too: a 21-yard catch to the Dallas 13 that set up Saquon Barkley's touchdown.
Through Week 6 he had 28 targets, 18 catches, 127 yards, no touchdowns and -4.3 EPA, -0.15 a target; here it was +0.83.
