10 to three, 49ers, two 48 left in the third quarter, third and six at the Denver 19. Bo Nix threw deep right to Pat Bryant, 18 yards in the air, and Bryant gained 12 more to the Denver 49. +3.3 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — the most on any Denver pass of the day. The drive ended in a 40-yard field goal that made it 10 to six.

The line: three targets, three catches, 47 yards, two first downs, +5.3 expected points on the targets, the most of any Bronco. The other third-down catch came on Denver's first drive of the second half: third and seven at the Denver 26, tied at three, 11 yards to the 37, seven and a half points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. The first was six yards on second and nine in the first quarter. He had no target after the 30-yarder.

Three of Nix's 42 throws.

Back in June the preview made no call on Bryant, a fourth or fifth option on a deep depth chart. Weeks 1 through 3 were nine targets, six catches, 86 yards and a touchdown. Four games: 12 targets, nine catches, a hundred 33 yards, one touchdown. The volume still reads like a fourth option, and for the second week running his few targets were worth more than anyone else's.
