Judkins carried 12 times for 21 yards, longest 9, and was stopped for no gain on fourth and one at the Cleveland 34 with 2:50 left in the half and the game tied 6–6. He caught all five of his targets for 27 yards, four of them in the fourth quarter, in a 23–19 win over the Buccaneers.

Six to six, two 50 left in the first half, fourth and one at the Cleveland 34. The Browns went for it, handed the ball to Quinshon Judkins over right guard, and he gained nothing. −2.9 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 9.6 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it, the largest loss on any Cleveland run or pass all afternoon. Tampa Bay took over at the 34 and kicked a field goal with 15 seconds left for a nine to six halftime lead.
The line: 12 carries, 21 yards, no touchdown, one first down, three of the 12 successful, −8.3 expected points on the carries. They went two, nine, six, two, two, −4, one, nothing, nothing, one, five, −3. Nine before halftime for 18 yards, three after for three. The nine and the six came back to back on the second drive, which ended in a 50-yard field goal. The first of the two ones was a six-yard run to the Tampa Bay six with 57 seconds left in the first quarter, cut to a single yard by a holding penalty enforced at the 11. Another run in the second quarter came back on a holding call and is not in the line at all. His one third-down carry was third and seven on the opening drive, two yards, and a punt. The catching was cleaner: five targets, five catches, 27 yards, +1.1 expected points. Four, 13, three, five, two. The four-yarder had a 12-yard roughness penalty added to the end of it; the 13, on the first snap of a fourth-quarter drive, was the one that moved the chains by itself. Four of the five targets came in the fourth quarter, three of them on the 12-play drive that won the game.
The split: Judkins had 12 of Cleveland's 18 designed runs and 12 of the 15 by running backs. Raheim Sanders had two, and Jaleel McLaughlin had one; McLaughlin was signed to the roster during the week when Dylan Sampson went to injured reserve, per NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk. Cleveland called 12 designed runs before halftime and six after, while its pass plays went from 11 to 21. Five targets was fourth on the team, behind Denzel Boston's seven and six each for KC Concepcion and Harold Fannin.
Back in June the preview called Judkins a real workhorse at a fair price: a rookie season built on volume, and a ceiling that depended on the offense around him getting better. Week 1 was 12 carries for 33 yards and nothing longer than five. Sunday was 12 for 21. Two games, 24 carries, 54 yards. The workload half of the read is holding, and the yards have not arrived. Two games settle little, but this one is worth a note: Cleveland won with a passing game worth +10.4 expected points on 32 pass plays and a running game worth −9.9 on 21 rush plays. Cleveland is home to the Panthers on Sunday the 20-seventh.
