Diggs caught 4 of 7 targets for 33 yards and two first downs, the second a 10-yard catch on second and eight to the Seattle 22 on the go-ahead field-goal drive in the fourth quarter. All three incompletions came before halftime and all four catches after it, and a deep ball in the first quarter drew a 14-yard pass-interference penalty, in a 33–31 win over the Seahawks.

24 all, seven 20 left in the fourth quarter, second and eight at the Seattle 32. Marcus Mariota threw short right to Stefon Diggs for 10 yards to the 22 and a first down. +1.1 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 5.1 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. Washington got no closer than the 18 and kicked the 36-yard field goal that made it 27 to 24. Diggs had also caught a four-yarder earlier on that drive.
The line: seven targets, four catches, 33 yards, no touchdown, two first downs, −1.0 expected points on the targets, 25 yards after the catch. The first half was three incompletions: third and four on Washington's first drive, followed by a punt; third and 11 deep right in the second quarter, followed by another; and first and 10 at the Seattle 33 on the drive that ended in Treylon Burks's touchdown. Two third-down targets, neither caught. A deep ball down the left side in the first quarter was also incomplete, and it drew a 14-yard pass-interference flag on Seattle. After halftime he caught all four: eight yards on Washington's first snap of the third quarter; 11 on the first snap after the interception of Sam Darnold, to the Seattle 32, two plays before Terry McLaurin's touchdown; and the four and the 10.
Seven of Mariota's 30 throws that had a receiver was second on the team to McLaurin's nine.
Back in June the preview put Diggs on the watchlist: 85 catches for a thousand 13 yards the year before, and no team as of July, so it said the day he had a team with targets, the case for him would reopen. Week 1 was nine targets and a touchdown. Week 2 was six targets and two touchdowns, the second from Mariota after Jayden Daniels was hurt. Sunday was Mariota's first start of the season, seven targets and no touchdown. Through three games Diggs has 22 targets, the same number as McLaurin, 13 catches, a hundred 35 yards and three touchdowns. The targets are holding; the touchdowns, the least repeatable part of a receiver's line, stopped this week. Washington faces the Colts in London on Sunday the fourth.
