Stefon Diggs made the drive that got Washington back into it against the 49ers: 6 catches on 7 targets, 44 yards, a touchdown and +4.3 expected points added (EPA). EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.

Down 23-3 with 2:50 left in the third quarter, fourth and 5 at the 49ers 31, Jayden Daniels threw short right and Diggs was pushed out at the 18 after 13 yards: +3.3 EPA. On the same drive, second and 1 at the 1 with 18 seconds left in the quarter, he caught the touchdown that made it 23-10. His one miss came on the opening drive, third and 5 at the 49ers 33, incomplete short left, -1.6 EPA, and Washington kicked a field goal.

It was his best game since Week 2, when his targets were worth +5.6 EPA. Through Week 5 he had 31 targets, 18 catches, 170 yards, 3 touchdowns and +4.7 EPA in four games, so this night nearly matched his season total.
