Trevor Lawrence ran a clean game against the Ravens: 16 of 26 for 242 yards and a touchdown, no interceptions, no sacks, in a 33-10 win in Baltimore on Thursday night. His 26 dropbacks, the whole of Jacksonville's passing game, were worth +7.7 expected points added (EPA), what a play is worth given down, distance and field position, +0.30 a play against the passing offense's +0.28 through Week 8.

Play-action was perfect but rare. He went 4 of 4 for 89 yards off the fake, against 32 of 48 for 525 through Week 8, and 12 of 22 for 153 off straight dropbacks. The Ravens sent five or more rushers on 10 of his 26 dropbacks. He threw on all 26 and left the pocket only 3 times. The charting found 1 interception-worthy throw, a ball a defender should catch, 3.8% of his throws against 3.6% coming in, and the Ravens did not catch it. His receivers did drop 2 of his passes, and 18 of 26 were catchable, 69.2% against 74.1%.

The throw that set the night came early. Scoreless, second and 6 at his own 27 on the opening drive, he went deep right to Nate Boerkircher for 52 yards to the Baltimore 21, +4.1 EPA and 14.0 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win, the largest swing of the game. Up 10-3 with 1:06 left in the half, he threw deep left out of the no-huddle to Parker Washington for a 50-yard touchdown and 17-3, +5.2 EPA. The one turnover came after a completion: Travis Hunter fumbled a short catch in the third quarter.
