Zachariah Branch is on the roster. When Atlanta announced its initial 53 on Sunday, Branch was one of five receivers kept — alongside Drake London, Jahan Dotson and Olamide Zaccheaus, with Chris Blair winning the fifth and final spot, per Dave Choate at The Falcoholic. That resolves half of what we were watching: the fifth-receiver battle ended around Branch, not against him. He was inside the five before Blair's fight was settled, and Blair's winning arguments were his own — a five-yard conversion on fourth-and-three and an 11-yard fingertip catch in Friday's finale, per Will McFadden and Tori McElhaney at atlantafalcons.com.
The return half stays only partly answered. The team-site game breakdown shows Branch returning a punt in the first quarter against Miami — and that is the ceiling of the claim, because no return count, no yardage and no accounting of the full return rotation appears in the reporting we hold. That is a step down in visibility from the Colts game six days earlier, when a box score let us name the whole return rotation. He handled at least one punt; whether the job is his is not something this window can say.
