Robinson carried 11 times for 51 yards and caught both of his targets for 16, his first targets of the season, including a 12-yard catch on third and seven. Eight of the 11 carries came after halftime, and he had all five running-back carries in the fourth quarter while Bijan Robinson had none, in a 34–3 loss to the Panthers.

34 to three, Panthers, two 19 left in the third quarter, third and seven at the Atlanta 38. Jack Strand threw short right to Brian Robinson, three yards behind the line of scrimmage, and Robinson took it 12 yards to midfield for the first down. +2.0 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — the second-largest figure for any Falcons pass or run all day.
The line: 11 carries, 51 yards, no touchdown, two first downs, four of the 11 successful, +0.8 expected points on the carries; two targets, two catches, 16 yards, +1.2 on the targets. The carries went nine, seven, four, four, four, three, four, three, five, five, three. The nine and the seven were his first two, back to back behind the left guard late in the first quarter, on the drive that ended with Drake London stopped on fourth and one. His one third-down carry was third and four at the Carolina 33 with seven 23 left in the fourth, up the middle for five and the first down, on a drive that ended in a missed 53-yard field goal. The other catch was four yards on third and 10 in the final two minutes. Both targets came on third down, both from Strand, his first targets of the season.
The split: Bijan Robinson 16 carries, Brian 11. In Week 1 it was 21 to nine. Brian had three before halftime and eight after; Bijan had 12 four. The fourth quarter was five carries for Brian and none for Bijan. His carries came out at +0.8 expected points against −1.9 for Bijan's. He did not return a kickoff this week; Olamide Zaccheaus took them.
Back in June the preview's read on Robinson was a roster presence more than a role — 60-first among running backs across 17 games last season in San Francisco, signed to be Bijan Robinson's complement. Week 1 was nine carries, no targets and two kickoff returns. Sunday was 13 touches to Bijan's 19, but every one of the eight second-half carries came with Atlanta down 24 or more. A larger share in a lopsided game is not yet a changed plan, and one game cannot say which this was. Atlanta is at the Packers on Thursday the 20-fourth, a short week.
