Chuba Hubbard smashed against the Eagles by carrying the load: 28 carries, 120 yards, a touchdown and +5.1 expected points added (EPA) on the ground. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. Half his carries (50%) gained positive EPA.

The run that defined it came up 13-7 with 1:03 left in the third quarter. Fourth and 1 at the Philadelphia 31: Hubbard went behind left tackle for 19 yards to the 12, +2.9 EPA and +6.4 points of win probability. The drive ended with his own 1-yard touchdown on second and 1 early in the fourth, for 19-7.

He also closed the game. Up 25-14 with 4:26 left, he carried six times on the march to the Philadelphia 2, converting two third-and-1s. Not every short-yardage try worked: he was stopped for no gain on third and 4 in the first quarter and on third and 1 in the third.

It was well above his start. Through Week 4 he had 61 carries, 306 yards, 3 touchdowns and +1.8 EPA, with 47% of carries positive. His 28 carries topped his 20 from Week 4. His 2 targets went for 1 catch and 1 yard.
