Chuba Hubbard carried the offense's workload against the Packers: 22 carries for 81 yards and a touchdown, plus 7 catches on 8 targets for 38 yards, both season highs in the passing game, in a 27-19 loss at Green Bay. The carries were worth -2.1 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position, and 8 of the 22 (36%) gained positive EPA. The catches made up for it, +2.2 EPA, with two 11-yard conversions on third and 10.
His best stretch came late in the first quarter, down 6-3. Fourth and 1 at the Green Bay 9, he went off right tackle for 2 yards, +1.75 EPA, then ran for 6 to the 1 and scored on the first snap of the second quarter for a 10-6 lead. In the third he went 18 yards on third and 1 to set up a field goal. The miss came on the first drive of the second half, down 20-10: fourth and 2 at midfield, he gained 1 yard around right end, -2.98 EPA, and Green Bay scored on its next possession.
The rate fell below his season. Through Week 7 he had 96 carries for 459 yards and 4 touchdowns, +0.09 EPA a carry with 48% positive; here it was -0.09. His 22 carries were his most since the 28 he had in Philadelphia in Week 6.
