Three all, a minute left in the first half against the 49ers, Denver at its own 38. Bo Nix threw for Courtland Sutton on first and 10, incomplete, and again on third and 10, incomplete, and Denver punted. −0.8 expected points added on the two — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.

The line: six targets, one catch, four yards, −2.5 expected points on the targets, 98 air yards. The catch was four yards on third and one before halftime, with a San Francisco delay-of-game penalty adding five. The first target was third and eight on Denver's opening drive, incomplete. The last two were 25 yards in the air on first and second down from the San Francisco 45 with under a minute 40 left, down 10, both incomplete. No throw his way was intercepted.

Six targets tied Jaylen Waddle for second on the team, behind RJ Harvey's 10.

Back in June the preview's question was the split with Waddle. It was six and six again. Four games: 22 targets, nine catches, 86 yards, no touchdowns.
