Courtland Sutton caught everything thrown to him against the Chiefs: 4 targets, 4 catches, 53 yards and +3.0 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. The yards and the EPA were both his best in a game this season.

His two biggest catches came on consecutive first-half drives. Down 7-3 with 5 seconds left in the first quarter, second and 6 at the Denver 44, he caught a deep throw down the left side for 23 yards to the Kansas City 33, +1.6 EPA; that drive ended in a 45-yard field goal. Down 14-6 in the second, second and 8 at the Kansas City 39, he caught an 18-yarder to the 21, +1.6 EPA, and the drive ended in Jaylen Waddle's touchdown. His 4-yarder on third and 6 in the third came up short.

Through Week 7 he had caught 16 of 33 targets for 168 yards and 1 touchdown, worth -8.4 EPA, though the last three weeks had each been positive.
