Dallas Goedert caught 5 of 7 targets for 48 yards against the Cowboys, and the one that got away cost the most: -4.3 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.

That target came down 31-21 with 7:55 left: first and 10 at the Dallas 32, Tanner McKee threw short right for him and DeMarvion Overshown intercepted at the 30, -5.4 EPA and 12.0 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win. Goedert pushed him out at the Dallas 34. Three snaps earlier, his 18-yard catch over the middle had reached the Dallas 48. His best catch came in the third, down 20-14: third and 5 at the Dallas 19, a 7-yarder to the 12 that kept alive the drive that ended in Makai Lemon's touchdown.

It was well off his pace. Through Week 6, in four games, he had 17 catches on 24 targets for 180 yards, 2 touchdowns and +11.6 EPA, +0.48 a target; here it was -0.62.
