DK Metcalf had his busiest day of the season against the Buccaneers and kept moving the chains: 11 catches on 15 targets, 93 yards and +2.8 expected points added (EPA) on his targets. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.

The catch that mattered most came in overtime. Tied 19-19, third and 13 at the Pittsburgh 27 with 9:11 left: Aaron Rodgers threw over the middle and Metcalf caught it for 16 yards to the 43, a spot set by replay review after it was first ruled 20 yards. That was +2.6 EPA and +24.9 points of win probability. Two snaps later he added 9 yards on second and 6 to the Tampa Bay 44, on the drive Germie Bernard finished for 26-19.

He drove the fourth-quarter comeback too. Down 16-3 on the quarter's first snap, he converted third and 16 from the Tampa Bay 46 with a 17-yard catch, +3.0 EPA, on the drive Darnell Washington finished with a 5-yard touchdown for 16-10. On the first snap after Daylen Everette's interception he caught another 17-yarder to the Tampa Bay 28. The miss came tied 16-16 with 1:26 left: third and 1 at the Tampa Bay 1, incomplete, -2.5 EPA, and Pittsburgh took a 19-16 lead on a field goal instead.

Through Week 5 he had 37 targets, 19 catches, 225 yards, 1 touchdown and -1.2 EPA, never more than 5 catches in a game.
