24 to 16, Browns, two 39 left, first and 10 at the Cleveland 45. Aaron Rodgers threw short right to Germie Bernard for six yards to the 39. Two snaps later, after a delay-of-game penalty made it first and 15 at the 16, Rodgers went short middle to Bernard for five to the 11. +0.2 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. Four snaps later, after a fourth-down pass-interference flag, Pat Freiermuth caught the touchdown, and Rodgers's two-point run tied it.
The line: two targets, two catches, 11 yards, both in the last three minutes.
Back in June the preview's read was that a rookie third receiver is noise until targets say otherwise. His targets have gone none, eight, one and two, and the eight came in the week Michael Pittman had no line. Three games with a line: 11 targets, seven catches, 60 yards.
