Germie Bernard had the best game of his season against the Colts: 9 targets, 6 catches, 80 yards, +1.9 expected points added (EPA) on his targets. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.

The defining catch came with Pittsburgh up 24-22 and 10:11 left. Third and 2 at the Steelers 44: Aaron Rodgers threw short to the left, and Bernard ran out of bounds at the Indianapolis 31, 25 yards. That was +2.1 EPA and +5.7 points of win probability, and the drive ended in Pat Freiermuth's 17-yard touchdown.

He also had a 21-yard catch on second and 10 late in the second quarter and a 13-yarder in the first. A third-and-5 throw his way fell incomplete in the second quarter, -1.4 EPA.

80 yards topped the 60 he had across Weeks 2 through 4, and 9 targets were his most, after 8, 1 and 2. Through Week 4 he was at -2.4 EPA on 11 targets.
