Germie Bernard caught nearly everything thrown his way against the Buccaneers, and the last one won the game: 11 catches on 12 targets, 87 yards, 1 touchdown and +1.0 expected points added (EPA) on his targets. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.
The touchdown came in overtime, tied 19-19 with 3:20 left. Second and 6 at the Tampa Bay 6: Aaron Rodgers threw short right and Bernard caught it for the score, +2.1 EPA, for the 26-19 final. Most of his work came after the catch, 69 of his 87 yards.
His costliest catch came early. Down 3-0 in the first quarter, fourth and 3 at the Tampa Bay 42, he caught a short pass for 2 yards, a yard short, -2.4 EPA and -10.3 points of win probability. He made up for it on third and 1 in the third quarter with a 19-yard catch to the Tampa Bay 40, +1.5 EPA.
This was a different scale from his season. Through Week 5, playing Weeks 2 to 5, he had 20 targets, 13 catches, 140 yards, no touchdowns and -0.5 EPA.
