Jaylen Waddle caught half his targets against the Chiefs and two of them put points on the board: 3 catches on 6 targets for 39 yards and a touchdown, plus the two-point conversion. Expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position, had his 7 targets, the two-point try included, at +2.2.

The touchdown came down 14-6 with 1:19 left in the half. Three runs from the Kansas City 1 had gained nothing, and on fourth and goal Bo Nix threw short right to him for the score, +2.5 EPA and 17.8 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win. Earlier in the quarter, on second and 18 from the Denver 24, he caught a deep throw over the middle for 35 yards, +3.1 EPA. With 8:55 left in the fourth he caught the two-point pass that made it 24-21. Three throws to him fell incomplete, two on third down.

The +2.2 was already more than the +2.1 EPA on his 46 targets through Week 7, when he had 26 catches for 276 yards and 1 touchdown.
