14 to seven, Ravens, eight 16 left in the second quarter, the ball at the Baltimore two after the defense stopped the Titans on fourth down. Lamar Jackson's first two throws went to Mark Andrews: seven yards on second and 11 from the one, then six on third and four to get off the goal line. Then 28 to Rashod Bateman, 52 deep right to Zay Flowers to the Tennessee five, and on second and three from the three, short over the middle to Andrews for the touchdown. 98 yards, 21 to seven. The throw to Flowers was +3.6 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — the biggest of any Baltimore play by that measure.

The line: 15 of 20, 222 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, two sacks; 22 pass plays worth +11.8 expected points. The other touchdown was 19 yards to Flowers on first and 10 to break a seven-all tie. Two runs for 20 yards. Seven throws went to Flowers, five to Andrews, two each to Devontez Walker and Elijah Sarratt, one each to Matthew Hibner, Bateman, Derrick Henry and Justice Hill. On third down he threw twice and converted once, and was sacked once.

All of it came before halftime. On second and 10 at the Tennessee 41 with 12 seconds left in the half, he was sacked for five yards, and the play-by-play logs him as injured on that play. Tyler Loop made a 64-yard field goal on the next snap. Tyler Huntley threw every Baltimore pass after halftime, eight of nine for 63 yards, and the Ravens did not score again.

Back in June the preview called last season the quiet-legs year, with the running as the bet. Four games: 68 of 96 for 967 yards, six touchdowns, one interception, seven sacks, and 19 runs for a hundred 44 yards. Sunday added two runs, and half a game.
