Rachaad White put the Eagles away with 2:18 left in Washington's 27-10 win at home: 11 carries for 55 yards and a touchdown, plus 2 catches on 3 targets for 5 yards. The carries and yards were his most in a game this season, and the score was his first rushing touchdown of the year. His designed carries were worth +1.8 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position, +0.17 a carry.
Up 19-10, one snap after Rasul Douglas's interception, first and 10 at the Philadelphia 37: White ran off left tackle for 33 yards to the 4, +2.9 EPA. He gained 3 on the next snap and went in from the 1 on second down, and Austin Ekeler ran in the two-point try for 27-10.
That one run was most of the day. His other 10 carries gained 22 yards, and 4 of the 11 were successful plays, meaning they gained what the situation asked for. Up 16-10 in the fourth, two of his carries on one drive went for no gain. Late in the second quarter, on third and 2 at his own 18, replay took back a first down and left him a yard short, and Washington punted.
The rate beat his season. Through Week 7 he was at -0.09 a carry, -3.2 EPA on 36 carries, with 44.4% of them successful; here he was at +0.17 with 36.4%.
