The first six throws his way fell incomplete, including two from the Baltimore 20 in the last 33 seconds of the half before a field goal; both catches, for 13 and 9 yards, came on the final drive, in a 34–31 loss to the Ravens in Rio de Janeiro.

17 to 10, Ravens, 33 seconds left in the half, second and six at the Baltimore 20. Dak Prescott threw deep right to Ryan Flournoy, incomplete. Third and six, short left to Flournoy, incomplete. Brandon Aubrey kicked a 38-yard field goal. The two throws cost Dallas about seven points of win probability between them — win probability being the chance of winning the game after the play against before it — and they were the fourth and fifth of six straight incompletions to Flournoy to start the day.
The line: eight targets, two catches, 22 yards, one first down, −2.8 expected points added on his targets — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. The first six: second and one at the Baltimore one on the opening drive, before a sack and a field goal; second and seven at the 11 on the next drive, which ended in a touchdown; second and six at midfield with 11 seconds left in the first quarter; the two before halftime; and deep left on second and 11 early in the third, 40 yards in the air, the longest throw Dallas attempted all day. Both catches came on the final drive, down 31 to 28: 13 yards from the Dallas 35 with one 30 left, pushed out at the 48, the first down, and nine more with one 14 left, pushed out at the Baltimore 29. Five targets before halftime, three after. One third-down target, incomplete. The eight throws his way traveled 87 yards in the air, the most of any Cowboy.
Eight targets were 20 percent of Prescott's 40 throws, tied with CeeDee Lamb behind George Pickens's 11.
Back in June the preview called Flournoy the third receiver in a target tree owned by two others: 40 catches on 56 targets for 475 yards and four touchdowns across 15 games, about 10 percent of the targets in his games. Week 1 was four targets, two catches and 22 yards, one of them a 17-yarder on third and 10 that drew a roughing penalty. Week 2 was six targets and five catches for 23 yards on throws that traveled eight yards in the air combined. Sunday was his most targets of the three games. Three games: 18 targets, about 17 percent of Prescott's throws, nine catches, 67 yards. The share is above last season's; the yards have not come with it. Three games settle little. Dallas is at the Texans on Sunday the fourth.
