Corum carried 6 times for 15 yards with a long of 7 and no first downs, and caught 2 of 4 targets for no net yards, all four on one second-quarter drive. Kyren Williams had 15 carries to his 6 after a 12–12 split in Week 2, and Corum's two carries just before the fourth-quarter pick-six gained four yards, in a 30–26 loss to the Broncos.

19 to 16, Rams, six 24 left in the fourth quarter, first and 10 at the Denver 42, one snap after Davante Adams's 49-yard catch. Blake Corum went around right end for no gain. On second and 10 he went behind the left guard for four, to the 38. Together the two carries were worth −0.8 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and they left third and six, the down on which Talanoa Hufanga intercepted Matthew Stafford and ran 66 yards for the touchdown that put Denver ahead.
The line: six carries, 15 yards, no first downs, one of the six successful, −2.1 expected points on the carries; four targets, two catches, no net yards. The carries went seven, −1, two, three, nothing and four. The seven was his first, up the middle from the Denver 41 in the first quarter, and the one successful run. Three carries before halftime, three after. All four targets came on one second-quarter drive that ended in a field goal: an incompletion, a one-yard catch, a catch for −1, and an incompletion at the Denver 20. Earlier in the quarter a three-yard run on third and two at the Denver eight, to the five, came back on a holding penalty on Steve Avila, and the Rams kicked a field goal two snaps later.
Kyren Williams had 15 of the Rams' 22 designed runs, Corum six and Stafford one, and Williams gained 88 yards on his with four first downs. Corum's four targets were fifth on the team.
Back in June the preview put Corum on the watchlist: a promotion the Rams had hinted at and never announced, 5.1 yards a carry over a hundred 45 carries that the preview called real, and eight catches in a whole season as the hole in the profile. Week One was 10 carries to Williams's 11. Week Two was 12 each, with better expected points than the starter and the first catch of his season. Sunday the split went back the other way, six carries to 15, and the receiving work that did come produced no yards. Through three games he has 28 carries for a hundred 48 yards, 5.3 a carry, to Williams's 38 for 214. Three games settle little; the promotion the first two games suggested did not show up in the third. Los Angeles is at the Eagles on Sunday the fourth.
