CeeDee Lamb scored twice against the Eagles on a night when most of his targets fell incomplete: 12 targets, 5 catches, 74 yards, two touchdowns and +3.6 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. Seven of the 12 were incomplete, four of them deep throws in the first half.
The catch that won it came down 21-20 with 1:36 left in the third quarter: first and 10 at the Philadelphia 16, Dak Prescott threw deep left and Lamb caught it for the touchdown, +2.2 EPA and 10.5 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win. Prescott's two-point run made it 28-21, and Dallas did not trail again. His first score came on third and 2 at the 9 in the first quarter, a short throw to the right for the 10-7 lead.
He drove the two-minute drill before the half. Up 17-14 with 44 seconds left, at the Dallas 47, he caught a 14-yarder, then a 30-yarder deep right that he took out of bounds at the Philadelphia 9, +1.7 EPA. Two short throws from the 9, one to him, fell incomplete, and Brandon Aubrey kicked a 27-yard field goal.
Per target he ran close to his season. Through Week 6 he had 69 targets, 48 catches, 577 yards, 4 touchdowns and +24.5 EPA, +0.36 a target; here it was +0.30, a week after -14.3 EPA on 18 targets against the Packers. It was his first two-touchdown game since Week 2.
