30 to 24, Giants, 11 seconds left, fourth and four at the New York four. Jacoby Brissett had driven Arizona 63 yards in under two minutes, with a pass interference flag on Banks doing the last 18, and then thrown three incompletions from the four. On fourth down he threw short left for Michael Wilson. Banks intercepted at the two and returned it 98 yards for a touchdown. −9 and a half expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 22 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it, the last of Arizona's.

The line: 21 of 35, 166 yards, two touchdowns, three interceptions, two sacks for 19 yards. 37 pass plays, sacks included, were worth −18.2 expected points. 10 of 15 for 76 yards before halftime, 11 of 20 for 90 after. The longest completion went 24. The touchdowns were 12 yards to Marvin Harrison on the opening drive and two to Elijah Higgins in the third quarter. The interceptions: deep right for Harrison on second and 13 early in the second quarter, picked by Newsome; short left for Wilson on third and two at the Arizona 35, up 14 to 12, picked by Reese, after which the Giants scored on the second snap; and Banks. 10 third-down pass plays, two conversions. He ran four times for 18 yards, two of them conversions on third and one.

The ball went 13 times to Wilson, 12 to Trey McBride, four to Harrison.

Back in June the preview put Brissett on the watchlist, overlooked a year ago because of a contract standoff and a bridge label. Weeks 1 and 3 were good by expected points on the pass plays, +9 and +10; Week 2 was −8. Sunday's −18.2 is the worst of the four. Four games: 103 of 152, 818 yards, six touchdowns, four interceptions, three of them Sunday.
