Jaylen Waddle had a quiet day in a Denver win over the Chargers: 5 targets, 2 catches, 19 yards, +0.5 expected points added (EPA) on his targets. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.
His most useful catch came early in the fourth quarter, down 17-10. Second and 3 at the Los Angeles 21, he caught a short pass to the left and ran out at the 11, and a roughing-the-passer penalty added 6 more: +1.3 EPA. Through four weeks he had 16 catches on 26 targets for 185 yards and a touchdown, 138 of those yards in Week 2.
