20 to 17, Eagles, a minute 17 left, second and seven at the Philadelphia seven. Two snaps earlier Kyren Williams had converted third and two with a three-yard run to the eight. This time he went around left end and into the end zone. +3.1 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 16.2 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it, the biggest swing of the game. Rams 24, Eagles 20.
The line: 16 carries, 80 yards, two touchdowns, six first downs, eight of the 16 successful, +3.6 expected points on the carries; 13 targets, 10 catches, 67 yards, three first downs, +3.2 on the targets. Seven carries before halftime for 24 yards, nine after for 56. The longest was 23 on third and one at the Los Angeles 24 in the third quarter, through the left tackle, with 15 yards taken back on a Rams unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. The 98-yard drive ran through him at both ends: a two-yard catch on the first snap from his own two, a nine-yard catch behind the line on third and 10 that an Eagles roughness penalty pushed to the 13, seven more to the one, and the one-yard touchdown with four oh two left.
Williams had 16 of the Rams' 22 designed runs, Blake Corum five and Puka Nacua one. 13 targets led the team, one ahead of Nacua.
Back in June the preview read Williams as a volume back, with Corum as the one real threat to the carries. Week One was 11 to Corum's 10, Week Two 12 each, Week Three 15 to six, and Sunday 16 to five, his most carries and most targets of the season. Four games: 54 carries, 294 yards, three rushing touchdowns, and 21 catches for a hundred 73. The split has moved his way two weeks running.
