Jackson completed 15 of 20 throws for 186 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions and no sacks, and ran six times for 50 yards. He was 9 of 11 for 128 after halftime, threw the 2-yard go-ahead touchdown to Matthew Hibner on third and goal with 1:34 left, and hit Zay Flowers for 27 yards with 7 seconds left to set up the winning field goal, in a 34–31 win over the Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro.

28 to 24, Cowboys, one 34 left, third and goal at the Dallas two. Lamar Jackson threw short over the middle to Matthew Hibner for the touchdown. +2.0 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 14 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it. Dallas tied it with 10 seconds left. From his own 35 with seven seconds to go, Jackson threw deep down the middle to Zay Flowers for 27 yards to the Dallas 38, nearly 19 points of win probability, the most of any Ravens pass or run, and Tyler Loop made a 56-yard field goal on the last snap.
The line: 15 of 20 for a hundred 86 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions and no sacks — 20 pass plays worth +11.9 expected points. Six runs for 50 yards and three first downs: 21 around right end on first and 15 in the first quarter, on the drive that ended in Derrick Henry's first touchdown; 12 to the Dallas four on second and four in the third, the snap before his four-yard touchdown throw to Chris Moore; and a 17-yard scramble on the first snap of the go-ahead drive. A 12-yard scramble on third and one later in that drive came back on an illegal formation penalty. Six of nine for 58 yards before halftime, nine of 11 for a hundred 28 after. On third down, six throws, three completions, two conversions: 10 yards to Mark Andrews on third and six on the go-ahead drive, and the touchdown to Hibner. Four throws traveled 20 or more yards in the air and two were caught, 31 to Rashod Bateman late in the third and the 27 to Flowers. His biggest gain through the air is not in the line: a deep ball on third and 11 in the second quarter drew a 49-yard pass interference penalty to the Dallas three, and Henry scored on the next snap.
The distribution: six throws to Flowers, five to Andrews, three to Bateman, two to Hibner, one each to Henry, Josh Cuevas, Devontez Walker and Moore. Baltimore ran 38 times and threw 20; the throws produced the offense's positive expected points, and the runs finished below zero.
Back in June the preview called last season the quiet-legs year: 13 games, a hamstring among several injuries, efficient passing, and the running gone missing — with a bounce-back as the bet. Week 1 was 17 of 25 for 324 yards, a rushing touchdown and a lost fumble on a sack, in a win at Indianapolis. Week 2 was 21 of 31 for 235, three sacks, and an interception at the New Orleans seven with 20 seconds left in a loss. Sunday had the fewest throws of his three games, and no sacks or turnovers. Three games: 53 of 76 for 745 yards, four touchdowns, one interception, and 17 runs for a hundred 24 yards. The legs are back on the stat sheet; three games settle little. Baltimore is home against the Titans on Sunday the fourth.
