Lloyd carried 4 times for 11 yards and caught 2 of 3 targets for 7, all of it before the midpoint of the third quarter. His 10-yard catch on first and twenty with 8:21 left in the first, plus 15 more on an unnecessary roughness flag, was the second-largest win-probability gain on any Packers run or pass play. Green Bay ran 9 times for 17 yards, the fewest of any team in a game this season, in a 35–14 loss to the Falcons.

Nothing to nothing, eight 21 left in the first quarter, first and 20 at the Green Bay 47. Jordan Love threw short left to MarShawn Lloyd, six yards behind the line by the air-yards figure, and Lloyd was pushed out at the Atlanta 43 for 10; Atlanta was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play, 15 more, first and 10 at the 28. +1.7 expected points added — expected points added is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position — and 6.6 points of win probability, the chance of winning the game after the play against before it, the second-largest gain on any Packers run or pass play all night behind the 45-yard throw to Matthew Golden earlier on the same drive. Lloyd ran six yards to the 22 on the next play, and his one-yard carry on second and one to the Atlanta four — the first down was confirmed on replay — set up Christian Watson's touchdown on the following snap.
The line: four carries, 11 yards, one first down, two of the four successful, −0.6 expected points on the carries; three targets, two catches, seven yards, −0.3 on the targets. The carries went six, one, two and two. The last two were first and second down from the Atlanta 16 with 12 oh one left in the third quarter, down 17 to seven; two snaps later Green Bay failed on fourth and one at the seven. All four carries came inside the Atlanta 33 inside the 20. His other catch was −3 yards on first and 10 from the Green Bay 31 late in the first quarter, and the miss was second and four on the opening drive. Two carries before halftime for seven yards, two after for four. After the two-yard run with 11 20 left in the third, he has no carry and no target in the play-by-play.
The split: Lloyd four carries, Kaleb Johnson four, and Love's one aborted snap. Nine rush plays for 17 yards against 54 pass plays — the fewest rush plays and the fewest rushing yards by any team in any of the 66 team-games this season. Five runs before halftime, four after, on a night Green Bay trailed by 10 at the break and by at least 10 for the whole second half. Josh Jacobs remains on the Commissioner's Exempt List, per NBC Sports.
Back in June the preview called Lloyd a watchlist: the 60-fourth running back off the board, a third-round talent with a two-year injury ledger and one question, availability, with the competition with Chris Brooks behind Jacobs as the thing to watch. Week 1 was 13 carries and the top of the carry list. Week 2 was six carries, a touchdown catch, a lost fumble and no touch afterward. Thursday was four, tied with Johnson, on a night nobody in the backfield got a fifth. 13, six, four. He has played all three games, which answers the availability half so far; the carries have fallen each week, and this week the game left almost none to fall. Green Bay is at the Buccaneers on Sunday the fourth.
