Travis Kelce made his catches count against the Chargers: 5 targets, 4 catches, 53 yards, +3.2 expected points added (EPA). EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.

The biggest came up 9-3 with 3:02 left in the first half. Second and 4 at the Chargers 45: Patrick Mahomes threw short over the middle and Kelce took it 24 yards to the 21, +1.7 EPA and +3.8 points of win probability. Kenneth Walker scored from the 2 three plays later for 16-3.

In the fourth quarter, up 19-6, he caught a short pass on third and 11 at midfield and ran out of bounds at the Chargers 38, a 12-yard first down. That drive stalled at the 12 when his third-down target fell incomplete, and Kansas City kicked a field goal for 22-6. He also caught a 16-yarder after Mahomes recovered a Creed Humphrey fumble.

Across Weeks 1 through 4 he had 22 targets, 16 catches, 246 yards, 2 touchdowns and +16.4 EPA.
