Zay Flowers carried Baltimore's first half against the Bengals: 11 targets, 8 catches, 137 yards and a touchdown in a 35-13 loss at home, his second-most yards this season after 150 against Indianapolis in Week 1. His targets were worth +5.9 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position, and 120 of the yards came before halftime.

The touchdown came on the third snap of the game. Third and 9 at the Cincinnati 48, Tyler Huntley threw short right and Flowers took it the rest of the way, +5.3 EPA and 16.7 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win. Late in the first quarter, third and 13 at his own 16, he caught a 20-yarder over the middle, +3.1 EPA, and on third and 6 at the Cincinnati 29 before the half he caught 16 more to the 13, +2.0 EPA, on a drive that ended in a field goal.

After halftime he caught 2 passes for 17 yards. Down 28-13 with 7:25 left, first and 10 at his own 35, Huntley's short throw for him was intercepted by Demetrius Knight Jr., -6.0 EPA, and Cincinnati scored three plays later.

The rate came in a little under his season. Through Week 6 he had 42 targets, 32 catches, 471 yards, 2 touchdowns and +26.6 EPA, +0.63 a target; here it was +0.54.
