Derrick Henry ran well on the few carries he got against the Bills: 11 for 53 yards and a touchdown, his fewest carries this season, worth +0.9 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. He added 2 catches for 7 yards.

The touchdown came down 10-0 late in the first quarter, on the drive after an interception put Baltimore at the Buffalo 17. He ran 12 yards around right end to the 5, an encroachment penalty moved the ball to the 2, and he went up the middle for the score, +0.8 EPA and 3.4 points of win probability, the estimate of each side's chance to win. Down 16-7 to open the third, his 9-yarder reached the 5; after a false start he ran 10 yards for another touchdown, and Ronnie Stanley's holding penalty took it off the board. Baltimore kicked a field goal.

Per carry it was his best day since Week 2. Through Week 7 he had 148 designed carries for -18.9 EPA, -0.13 a carry, and a 38.5% success rate; here it was +0.08 a carry and 45.5%.
