Zay Flowers was steady rather than explosive against the Falcons: 9 targets, 8 catches, 53 yards, +1.9 expected points added (EPA) on his targets. EPA is what a play was worth given down, distance and field position.
The catch that mattered came in overtime. At 23-23 with 6:19 left, third and 6 at the Atlanta 47, Tyler Huntley threw short right and Flowers gained exactly the 6 he needed to the Atlanta 41: +1.5 EPA and +15.8 points of win probability. Baltimore finished that drive with the winning touchdown.
He opened the game with a 13-yard run, +1.1 EPA, and caught an 11-yarder to the Atlanta 8 on the first drive. On one second-quarter snap he was sacked himself, for a 2-yard loss.
Eight catches tied his high from Week 4, but 53 yards was his lowest total in a game this season. Through Week 4 he had +24.0 EPA and 352 yards on 22 targets across three games.
