Zay Flowers was the target on both of Joe Fagnano's interceptions against the Jaguars, on a night of 6 targets, 3 catches and 6 yards. The charting splits the blame: only 3 of the 6 were catchable, 50% against 75.9% through Week 8, and he caught all 3, including his one contested ball.

Down 17-3 on the opening drive of the third quarter, third and 14 at the Baltimore 25, Fagnano threw short left for him and the Jaguars intercepted at the 32 and returned it to the 26, -3.9 expected points added (EPA), what a play was worth given down, distance and field position. Jacksonville kicked a field goal. Early in the fourth, first and 10 at the Baltimore 29, another short throw to the left for him was picked at the 27, -5.9 EPA, and Flowers made the tackle at the 23.

He did more on the ground: 3 carries for 17 yards, as many carries as he had in the first eight weeks, when his 3 went for 34. His 7-yard run on second and 8 in the second quarter set up a third and 1. Through Week 8 the charting had him at 40 catches on 58 targets.
