Half-PPR (and how it differs from full PPR)

Half-PPR awards half a point per reception; full PPR awards one. Every fantasy figure on Muffed — points per game, positional finish — is scored Half-PPR, 12-team, with no exceptions.

Standard scoring gives nothing for a catch. Full PPR gives a point. Half-PPR splits the difference at half a point, which is now the most common setting in public leagues. Everything else — yardage and touchdown scoring — is the same.

A dash is a measurement that could not be taken, not a zero. Positional finish needs at least eight games, so a player who missed most of the season has none; snap-share rank needs enough snaps to clear the usage floor, so a player who barely played has none either. The gap needs both sides plus fourteen games, which is the strictest of the three and the reason more rows show a dash in the Usage Gap column than in either column it comes from. Rows with no gap sort to the bottom, beneath every row that has one.

Why it matters

The reception bonus decides which position wins a draft. Under full PPR a high-volume, low-depth receiver gains ground on a back; under standard scoring the back keeps it; Half-PPR sits between and is why the number matters before comparing any two players. In 2025 Christian McCaffrey of the 49ers led the receiving board at 21.5 points per game (Half-PPR). Reading a Half-PPR figure as if it were full PPR undervalues every possession receiver on the page.
