Aggressiveness
Aggressiveness is NFL Next Gen Stats' share of a quarterback's pass attempts thrown into a tight window — where a defender was within a yard of the intended receiver at the moment the ball arrived. Higher means more tight-window throws.
Next Gen Stats measures the separation between each target and the nearest defender at the moment of completion or incompletion. A throw with a defender within one yard counts as tight coverage. Aggressiveness divides those attempts by all of a passer's attempts.

Why it matters
Tight-window throws are where interceptions and big plays both come from. A quarterback who throws into them often is trusting his arm and his receivers' hands, and his results swing more from game to game than a passer who waits for open men.
The counter
A high rate can mean confidence or it can mean receivers who rarely get open, and the number cannot tell those apart. It describes risk taken, not whether taking it worked.
