ANY/A (adjusted net yards per attempt)
ANY/A is passing yards with touchdowns, interceptions and sack yardage folded in, divided by attempts plus sacks. Drake Maye of the Patriots led 2025 at 8.26, with Matthew Stafford at 8.25.
The formula adds 20 yards for every passing touchdown and subtracts 45 for every interception, then subtracts the yardage lost on sacks and divides by attempts plus sacks. Those weights come from how much each event actually costs a drive. It is the oldest efficiency stat that still holds up.

Why it matters
ANY/A and CPOE answer different questions, and comparing them is where the interesting cases live. Drake Maye led both at 8.26 and +9.1, so the accuracy and the results agreed. When a passer leads one and not the other, either the touchdowns are carrying a mediocre process or the accuracy is not converting into points. Both are worth knowing before paying for a repeat.

The counter
Touchdown weighting means ANY/A inherits touchdown variance, which repeats less than volume does.
