No-huddle rate
An offense goes no-huddle when it lines up for the next snap without gathering in a huddle first, with the play called from the sideline or at the line. No-huddle rate is the share of an offense's scrimmage snaps run that way, from the no-huddle flag in nflverse play-by-play.
Every scrimmage snap either followed a huddle or did not, and play-by-play records which. The rate divides the snaps without one by all of an offense's scrimmage snaps. It is the same figure as the No-Huddle column on Muffed's team pace board.

Why it matters
Skipping the huddle limits what a defense can substitute, and it lets an offense see the defense's alignment before choosing a play. Teams that trail late go no-huddle out of necessity, so the rate mixes deliberate style with game script, and the neutral-situation pace figure beside it is the way to tell the two apart.
The counter
No-huddle is not the same as fast. An offense can skip the huddle, line up early, read the defense and then let the play clock run nearly to zero, which is why a high no-huddle rate can sit next to an ordinary seconds-per-play figure.
