Catchable Throw Rate Leaders
Catchable Throw Rate — 2023 NFL leaders, updated Oct 2, 2026. Kirk Cousins (MIN) led the league in catchable throw rate at 78.6%, ahead of 30 other qualifying players. Based on verified play-level charting from FTN Data via nflverse, regular season only. Through the 2023 season.
Catchable throw rate is the share of a quarterback's pass attempts that FTN's charters judged catchable — a ball the intended receiver could reasonably have caught, whether or not he did. The base is attempts, not dropbacks, because a sack or a scramble has no ball to judge. Rank 1 is the highest rate; throwaways count as attempts and are never catchable, so a passer who throws the ball away often ranks lower than his accuracy alone would put him. In season every figure here is season to date, and before Week 4 it rests on two or three games — a gap of a few points between neighbours is noise until the sample grows.
